Receiving the blue sky carers champion card has been greatly beneficial for access to discounts in an array of shops and services that I use.

I have been a carer for my son who has a rare disease and complex healthcare needs for seventeen years. There have been highs and lows throughout the journey but I have gained many skills, resilience, patience and empathy for others. I have also learned that being a carer requires you to be selfless and prioritize the needs of the person cared for.

I have utilised the services that Blue Sky offers such as help with filling out pip forms, direct payments and support groups. Suneeta has been supportive and always makes time to check in on me and my son, her experiences of being a carer herself have helped her to understand me and the challenges I face.

It is invaluable to have staff in an organisation such as this with lived experience.
